Winter Flowers

Hallo Ihr Lieben,
ich weiß wir hatten noch nicht mal einen richtigen Winter, aber ich vermisse den Sommer jetzt schon. Das Licht und die Wärme, die Luft und den Geruch. Das Leben draußen. Meine offenen Sandalen. Im Moment möcht ich eigentlich nichts anderes als mich drinnen im warmen zu verkriechen. Jetzt wo draußen nicht mal mehr ein Glühwein auf mich wartet ;-))

Hello my loves,
I know I have no reason to complain because the winter this year in Germany is more like a spring or fall. But nevertheless I already miss the summer. The light. The heat. The air. The smell. To spent my leisure time outside. My strappy sandals. Right at the moment, I just want to stay home in my warm living room. Now that I don't even get an hot wine punch at the next market., it's even worst ;-)

Flower and Stripes

Hallo meine Lieben,
es gibt manchmal Teile, die sind wie für einen gemacht. Mir ging es bei dem Rock so, ich habe ihn in dem Secondhand Laden Kaiserschnitt in Hannover gesehen und sofort gekauft. Das Muster hat mich angesprochen und ich fand ihn zunächst herrlich altmodisch und irgendwie spanisch. Angezogen fühle ich mich damit einfach nur weiblich. 100% überzeugt haben mich dann die Taschen, ich liebe Kleidungsstücke mit Taschen, ich weiß, ich Freak, aber man kommt irgendwie nie in die Verlegenheit nicht zu wissen wohin mit seinen Händen ;-)) Der Muster-Mix macht es dann aus meiner Sicht richtig spannend.

PS.: Was ich unter dem Rock trage ist natürlich normalerweise streng geheim, aber die liebe Miss Cherrychaos hat im Moment eine tolle Aktion, da mach ich mal eine Ausnahme. Viele Frauen kennen das, dass die Oberschenkel unangenehm aneinander reiben. Wenn ich weiß, ich muss längere Strecken mit einem Rock/Kleid laufen, trage ich häufig eine Art Radler drunter. Solltet Ihr auch das Problem haben, besucht den Blog von Miss Cherrychaos und gewinnt sexy Bandelettes mit denen euch das nie wieder passiert.

some pieces are just meant to be yours. And this skirt was meant to be mine, right from the start when I saw and bought it in a small local second hand store. The pattern immediately caught my eyes and it appealed to me old-fashioned, but in an exquisite way and somehow with a spanish touch. While wearing it, I just feel very feminine. It got my for 100% when I discovered the pockets in it, I know I'm maybe outing myself as a freak right now, but I love clothes with pockets. With mixing patterns and wearing a striped top this outfit become really exciting, in my opinion.

Hallo meine Lieben,
wenn es um Schuhe, insbesondere um High Heels geht, schaltet sich in meinem Kopf jeder logische und praktische Gedanke aus und meine tierischen Hamster-Instinkte werden wach. Und ich höre mich dann selber dumme Sachen sagen wie: "Egal ob Sie passen oder nicht, ich muss sie einfach haben!" Bei welchem Kleidungsstück kommt euer anormales Ich zum Vorschein?

Curves in denim: The Jacket

Hallo meine Lieben,
entschuldigt, dass ich so lange nicht mehr geschrieben habe, aber mein Leben gleicht im Moment einer Achterbahn, es gibt nur extreme Höhen oder den absoluten Tieffall.
Ein toller Höhepunkt war allerdings das Blogger-Treffen bei der süßen und total lieben Miss Biggy an diesem Wochenende. In einem der nächsten Posts werde ich darüber noch ausführlich berichten. Als ich dort mit so vielen tollen Plus-Size-Bloggerinnen zusammen saß und sie alle so zuckersüß in Ihren Kleidern aussahen, stellt ich mir die Frage, warum ich immer so viel Jeans trage. Was für eine Herausforderung es für mich wäre mal eine Woche kein Jeans zu tragen. Ich liebe das Material einfach in jeder erdenklichen Ausführung. Also was ist jetzt mein Plan? Ich werde euch jetzt 7 unterschiedliche Jeans-Looks nacheinander zeigen, in der Hoffnung einen Jeans-Overkill zu bekommen. Anschließend werde ich versuchen 7 Outfits komplett ohne das geliebte Denim zu veröffentlichen. Um es mit den Worten von Barney Stinson zu sagen: "Herausforderung angenommen!" ;-)) Was sind Kleidungsstücke oder Materialien, die Ihr immer wieder tragt?

please excuse my long absense, but my life currently is comparable to a rollercoaster ride. There are only extrem ups or the absolute low level flights.
One of the good moments was this weekend. The lovely Miss Biggy had invite us to a little blogger date. While sitting and talking to the other great Plus Size Blogger who where looking sugar-sweet in their dresses, I had to ask myself, why am I wearing denim over an over again? Would it be a big challenge for me to relinquish? I simply love denim in any imaginable styling. So what's my solution? I will show you 7 different denim stylings and hope after all, I'll get an overkill from denim. Afterwards I will try to publish 7 outfits without any kind of denim. To say it with the words of Barney Stinson: "Challenge accepted!" ;-)) Which kind of clothes or materials are essential for you?

Clashing with the styles

Hi Ihr Lieben,
wenn Ihr Stilbrüche hasst, dann lest und guckt bitte nicht weiter ;-))  Im Moment sieht man sehr viele bedruckte Sweater oder Hoodies meist in der Kombination mit eleganten und femininen Röcken. Das wollte ich auch mal ausprobieren und ich liebe den Mix. Durch den Tweed-Rock fühle ich mich chic und sexy und mit dem Guinness Hoodie lässig. Vorallem aber fühle ich mich wie ich ;-))

if you hate clashing with the styles, please don't read or watch this post ;-)) During this season you can see printed hoodies and sweaters almost everywhere often in combination with chic and elegant skirts. An outfit I wanted to try and now I'm in love with it. With this tweed skirt I feel sexy and somehow classy and the guinness hoodie give the outfit a casual and cool touch. But most important, I feel comfy and like myself.

Scarf laying love

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

es gab schon viele Trends mit Layering in der letzten Zeit: bracelet layering, necklace layering usw. Was mich im Moment fasziniert, weil es auch noch total kuschelig und warm ist, ist Scarf Layering. Ich habe dazu zwei Schals, die farblich gut harmonieren mit unterschiedlichen Mustern, aus meinem Schrank gesucht und ineinander verschlungen.

 

Den Pashmina Schal habe ich vor zwei Jahren zu Weihnachten bekommen. Ich hatte mir einen "besonderen" Schal oder ein Tuch von meiner Mama gewünscht und dann am Heiligen Abend bekam ich diesen Pashmina Schal. Nur diesen Schal. Und zunächst war ich irgendwie enttäuscht, nicht weil ich ihn nicht schön fand, sondern weil ich die Qualität nicht zu schätzen wusste und meine Schwester neben mir ein Geschenk nach dem anderen auspacken konnte. Kurz danach kam mein Vater zu mir und sagte, dass meine Mom danach ca. 2 Monate im Internet gesucht hatte und er wirklich wahnsinnig teuer war. Zu der Zeit war meine Mutter gerade ohne Arbeit und ich merkte erst wie viel Mühe sie in mein Geschenk gesteckt hatte und wie lange sie dafür gespart haben musste und wie undankbar ich eigentlich war. Seit dieser Erkenntnis ist dieser Schal eines der "besondersten" Teile in meinem Schrank ;-)

during the last season, there were a lot of trends about layering, like bracelet layering, necklace layering and so on. The layering trend that currently fascinates me the most, is scarf layering. I just choose two scarfs with different patterns but in the same color range and kind of twist them into each other.

This pashmina scarf I got it two years ago for christmas. I had wished for a somehow "special" scarf from my mom and on christmas eve I got this pashmina scarf. But only that scraf. And first of all, I was kind of disappointed, not because I didn't like it, but I just couldn't appreciate the good quality and I was kind of jealous because my sister was unwrapping one present after another. Two days later my father told my, that my mother really invest lots of time and money in my present. During that Christmas my mother was without work and I slowly realized that she neither spare cost nor effort to buy me this present. Since this time, this scarf is one of the most "special" pieces in my whole closet ;-)

Blue days

Hi meine Lieben,

gestern war der Frauen-Flohmarkt und meine Mom und ich habe ein bisschen was verkauft, leider lief es nicht wirklich gut, es war einfach super wenig Publikum da. Auf jeden Fall habe ich das ganze Wochenende damit verbracht den Flohmarkt vorzubereiten bzw. dort zu sitzen und zu verkaufen. Wann wurde das Leben eigentlich so stressig? Manchmal ist so viel los, dass man vergisst was man gerne macht und nur noch funktioniert, kennt ihr das??

yesterday my mom an me were selling some cloth at the womens flea market in Hanover. Unfortunately it wasn't working very well, there was just too less audience. Anyway I spent my whole weekend with preparing the fleamarket and then selling there. When did life became so stressful? Sometimes there is so much going on, that you forget what you love to do instead you just function. Have you every be there?

Three fashion trends in one outfit



Hi Ihr Lieben,

erst einmal Danke an euch alle für die tollen und aufmunternden Kommentar. Am Samstag fühlte ich mich 3 cm größer :-) Ich habe die Fashion Week ein bisschen verfolgt und dabei sind mir drei Trends aufgefallen, die ich sehr schön und spannend finde. Ich habe sie mal zu einem Outfit kombiniert und wart auf den neuen Monat um Sie euch getragen zeigen zu können ;-)))

first of all thank you for your great and encouraging comments. On saturday I felt immediately 2 inches taller ;-) I watched a lot of the fashion week shows and collections online and there are three fashion trends of the upcoming saison that I really like. I combined these trends to my dream outfit for this fall, I just has to wait for the new month to start ordering the new clothes ;-)))



Three fashion week trends 2012: Skirt and pullover | Material Blocking | Sequins and shiny materials

Skirt and pullover:
Dieser Trend hat sich jetzt schon eine Weile abgezeichnet. Ist nicht mehr wirklich super neu und auch bereits in vielen Zeitschriften zu finden. This trend is already there. I like it, but I don't think it's totally new because you can already see this combination in magazins and on the streets.

Sequins and shiny materials | Deluxe materials:
Metallisch glänzende Materialien, die an raschelndes Bonbon-Papier erinnern und auch holografische Silberfolien werden die kommende Saison ein riesen Thema sein. Metallike shiny materials, that reminds you of crinkly candy foil wrapper and also material like holographic silver films will dominate the next saison.

Material Blocking:
Die logische Steigerung von Color Blocking aus der letzten Saison und Material-Mix in dieser Saison ist für die kommende Zeit das Material Blocking. Muster sind nicht mehr nur einfach aufgedruckt oder gewebt, sondern entstehen durch verschiedenster Stoffe und Materialien die zusammengefügt werden. The logical step-up of color blocking and material mix is in this upcoming saison material blocking. Patterns aren't just printed on the fabric any longer but rather emerge from the combination of very different fabrics and materials.
